Membership Terms & Conditions

Welcome to COOC, an exclusive private members’ club located within The Mandrake Hotel, London. By becoming a member, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions, which govern your membership, conduct, and access to COOC and its facilities. These terms are designed to protect the club’s integrity, ensure a safe and respectful environment, and clarify rights and responsibilities.
1. MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION
1.1. Membership to COOC is by application and subject to approval by the Membership Committee. COOC reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion.
1.2. Membership is non-transferable and is for personal use only. Members may not share their membership privileges with non-members.
1.3. By applying for membership, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
2. MEMBERSHIP FEES & PAYMENTS
2.1. Membership fees are payable in full upon acceptance. Fees may vary depending on the membership type (Under 33, Over 33, Corporate, etc.).
2.2. COOC reserves the right to review and amend membership fees at any time. Members will be notified in advance of any fee changes.
2.3. Membership fees are non-refundable, except in cases of proven administrative error or exceptional circumstances at COOC’s discretion.
2.4. Failure to pay renewal fees will result in suspension or termination of membership.
3. MEMBER CONDUCT & CODE OF BEHAVIOR
3.1. Members are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct and respect fellow members, staff, and guests at all times.
3.2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, violence, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of membership without refund.
3.3. Dress Code: Members and their guests must adhere to COOC’s dress code, which maintains a standard of elegance and sophistication. The club reserves the right to refuse entry to those not meeting this standard.
3.4. Privacy & Confidentiality: COOC values discretion. Photography and videography are strictly prohibited in certain areas, and members must respect the privacy of others.
3.5. Drug Policy: COOC operates a strict zero-tolerance policy on illegal drugs. Any member found possessing, distributing, or using illegal substances will face immediate expulsion and possible legal action.
3.6. Alcohol & Responsible Drinking: Members are responsible for their own alcohol consumption and behavior. COOC reserves the right to refuse service and remove any member or guest displaying excessive intoxication.
3.7. Personal Belongings & Liability: Members are responsible for their personal belongings. COOC and The Mandrake Hotel are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
4. GUEST POLICY
4.1. Members may bring guests, subject to COOC’s guest policy, which may include limitations on the number of guests per visit and advance registration requirements.
4.2. Members are fully responsible for the conduct of their guests and must ensure they adhere to all club rules.
4.3. COOC reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest at its discretion.
5. RESERVATIONS, BOOKINGS & EVENTS
5.1. Tables & Lounge Reservations: Advance bookings are recommended for lounge areas. Members are required to honor reservations or cancel within the stated timeframe.
5.2. Private Events: COOC may be used for private events, subject to approval. Members hosting private events must comply with COOC’s event policies.
5.3. Event Access: Members may receive priority or exclusive access to events. Certain events may require additional fees or RSVPs.
6. USE OF FACILITIES & OPERATING HOURS
6.1. Opening Hours: COOC’s operating hours may vary and are subject to change. Members will be informed of any updates.
6.2. Spa & Wellness Areas: Access to DAMU Spa and wellness facilities is subject to separate booking and availability. Additional charges may apply.
6.3. Restaurant & Bar Services: Members receive applicable discounts at The Mandrake’s restaurants and bars in accordance with their membership tier.
7. TERMINATION & SUSPENSION OF MEMBERSHIP
7.1. COOC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership without refund if a member:
• Violates club rules, policies, or applicable laws.
• Engages in behavior detrimental to COOC’s reputation, staff, or other members.
• Provides false information during the application process.
7.2. Members may voluntarily terminate their membership by providing written notice. No refunds will be issued for early termination.
8. LIABILITY & INDEMNITY
8.1. COOC and The Mandrake Hotel accept no liability for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by members or their guests during their time at the club, unless due to gross negligence.
8.2. Members agree to indemnify and hold COOC harmless from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from their own actions or those of their guests.
9. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY POLICY
9.1. COOC is committed to protecting members’ privacy. Any personal data provided during the application process will be stored securely and not shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.
9.2. Members may receive club updates, exclusive invitations, and promotional offers via email or SMS. Members may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
10. AMENDMENTS & GOVERNING LAW
10.1. COOC reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes.
10.2. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of London.
11. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
